IMHO the object is too far. The composition is a little bit empty. Maybe I would zoom more at the person and his reflection ... make it tighter. As for preference of upper or lower, I'd take lower. The upper one ... the lighting is too flat ... not really interesting. The lower one, you have dodged the POI to make it stood more and eye catching. But it would be better if you just left the walls from the dodging. Just dodge the person and his reflection ... I think it would be nicer.

The top picture more natural, it's nice composition. Better you crop the window, and just show the wall (IMHO)
