Fotografer Indonesia Rarinda Prakarsa memenangi lomba foto tahunan Photomalaysia.com Photo of the Year 2008. Demikian pengumuman yang dibuat oleh Steven Leong, administrator PhotoMalaysia.com (PM) yang ditulis pada topik http://www.photomalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?p=942251. Pengumuman tersebut bertanggal hari ini, Jumat, 1 Mei 2009.

Dewan juri yang beranggotakan: Jen Siow (Portrait Artist, Educator and VR developer), Patrick Low (Renowned wedding photographer who has been a professional photographer for the past 20 years), Steve Chong (vice president of the Photographic Society of Negeri Sembilan and contributing editor for Photo Creator and Advanced Images, juga salah satu moderator di Fotografer.net), Teoh Peng Kee (Representative of Canon Marketing (M) Sdn. Bhd.), dan Vincent Thian (Associated Press Chief Photographer for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, also President of Malaysia Chinese Photojournalists Association) memutuskan foto karya Rarindra tersebut untuk memenangi hadiah berupa Canon EOS 40D + 18-55IS kit lens.

Selamat untuk Rarinda Prakarsa. Semoga prestasi ini menjadi batu tolakan untuk mengharumkan nama Indonesia, sekaligus sebagai motor semangat untuk sharing, berbagi.
